If you are building a new house or replacing your gutters, the first step is deciding which kind of gutter you want on your home. Connecticut Gutters & Exteriors offers five different styles of gutters for commercial and residential purposes. How do you know which one is the right choice for you? Look over the following breakdown and see which style you think fits your home or business.
K-Style Gutters are the most common choice when it comes to gutter installations. They have a flat bottom and a decorative outer edge that looks similar to crown molding. This type comes in many designs and styles, and Connecticut Gutter & Exteriors offers K-Style gutters in aluminum or copper and in multiple sizes ranging from 5” to 8”. Our K-Style gutters are also seamless for the 5” to 7” dimensions making them less likely to leak or need repairs.
Half Round Gutters
Connecticut Gutters & Exteriors offers three styles of Half Round Gutters. The basic similarity is that all are concave and shaped, as their name suggests, like a semi-circle. Half Round gutters aren’t as common as K-Style gutters because the brackets and hardware needed to hold them up are more ornamental because they are visible. Also Half Round Gutters carry less volume of water than K-Style Gutters, but they do provide a certain aesthetic look to your home. Most people who own older, historical homes install Half Round Gutters for their classical appeal. CT Gutter offers three kinds of Half Round Gutters:
- Traditional Single Bead. This style is offered in copper, lead-coated copper, white or brown aluminum, or galvanized steel.
- Reverse Bead. The reverse bead style is only offered on the 6” dimensions and in aluminum. This gutter style does, however, come in 38 colors options.
- Euro Style. This Half Round is offered in copper or zinc and looks more like the old-world style gutter while offering modern quality.
Our box gutters come in custom dimensions and are made out of aluminum, zinc, copper, or lead-coated copper. If you choose aluminum, you can choose from 38 different colors of Kynar 500 paint. Its flat bottom and square shape increase its capacity for water, and if you need irregular sized gutters, these can be custom made to fit your desired dimensions.
