Certifications: HAAG Engineering Inspector, QPSWPPP, QCIS

Birthday: October 03rd

They call me "The Greenwich Contractor" because of my 35 years in town and because of my broad range of experience and the multiple specialty businesses I own within the construction realm.

It amazes me how after 26 years in the industry, 18 now as an owner, I still have passion and energy to do the very best for my clients. I think its the sincere "thank you" we get from clients or even better, the eye popping amazement we get to witness at the end result of the project.

I strive to push the limits on materials options and methods of application to give our clients the very best looking systems that not only perform well but can stand the test of time and hold up against New England weather.

Obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout in my youth set the tone and pace of my business prowess as an adult. Achieving the rank required an incredible amount of invested time, the ability to manage multiple campaigns at once and it all centered around learning new skills. With Connecticut Gutter, my staff and I continue to push and explore new things, whether it be more skillful installation techniques, sourcing and shipping in better material, and the list goes on.

To best support my clients, I have gone the extra mile by obtaining my HAAG Engineering "Roof Inspector" and "Wind Damage Inspector" certifications. We also took a huge step in being the first gutter company in CT to create an AIA (American Institute of Architects) accredited course for continuing education credits for the architect, on the subject of "Rain Gutter Systems and Installation for New England Weather". My staff and I enjoy putting on these courses around the State of Connecticut and Westchester County. I tout myself a water management expert and have been written up in numerous trade magazines, earning a reputation for above-standard results. My focus on water management has brought my family and I to create CT GUTTER™, Connecticut Stormwater Authority and Greenwich Roofs. Each business routinely interfaces with the others to protect properties and control the damaging effects of water left unchecked.

I live with my family and our children in Riverside, CT. I enjoy outdoor activities, the beach and taking in as much rugby as my schedule allows.

With a failed stormwater system and a collapsed underground drain on my property, I needed to find a competent drainage company with considerable experience and expertise in Cultec stormwater systems to solve my drainage woes. Connecticut Gutter was highly recommended to me by a local engineering company, who told me that they would be able to help me out.

The engineer was right. I was extremely impressed by their excellent project management skills, their efficient site work, and their positive attitude towards me as their client. They were happy to answer my questions, and every step of the way they made me feel as though I was being taken care of.

I really appreciated their advice to install filters to prevent future problems with my other stormwater systems.

During the project their guys worked with great attention to detail and respect for my property. They were organized and tidy with their equipment and machinery. Despite the large size of the digger, they dug the holes, installed the new system, along with filters for my existing systems, and filled in the holes with great care and precision. As a keen gardener I was also very happy that they tied back some rhododendrons, and made other decisions to to prevent them from damage whilst they repaired the section of collapsed drain.

I’m very pleased with the work that they did, and the way in which they completed the project. They most definitely earned every one of their five stars in my review.

So many good things to say about CT Gutter, the owner Frank H., our salesperson Frank G., Carlos, Luiz, Carlos Jr., Nellie and the rest of his team! CT Gutter replaced our undersized copper gutters with all new 6" seamless gutters. Every corner was carefully mitered and soldered by hard working, skilled team members. One seamless section about 60 feet long was put up with 5 people on 5 ladders without bending the new gutter. Where our drip edge was too short to allow for proper pitching, they added new copper drip edge. At the end of the job, Robert - an expert drone photographer spent 20 minutes taking me around the entire job so I could look down at the seams, fasteners, and drip edge from just inches away on his color screen. I even went up the ladder and saw the work up close and was very pleased. Further, Frank H. gave me great advice on maintaining our slate roof and our complicated water catchment system, without trying to sell me on services he deemed unnecessary. Rather than try to sell me a snow-melt system I asked about, he laid out the pros and cons and advised me to watch it for a year before spending money on it now. CT Gutter did an outstanding job for less than another top-rated contractor had bid, and for the exact same seamless copper gutters. I anticipate a long, trouble-free life to these larger, better gutters. And I very much look forward to working with Frank and his team for roof and catchment system if issues arise. Frank is honest (Eagle Scout!) and extremely knowledgeable, his team is skilled and takes the time to do the job right, and his price was very fair. Highly recommended!
